What a weekend, huh?
Super Bowl, loss of power, 49ers’ comeback, Ravens win, Carnival Season ramping up to a frenzy. Whew. How about a cafe au lait and some sugar bombs (aka “beignets”) to keep you going. One more week till Mardi Gras.
Here’s a little postcard I did based on the standard order at Cafe du Monde. The original sold in short order, but you can get a print here.
Would you like to win a free New Orleans print? Just leave a comment below with your favorite memory of that fair city. Leave it on any of these NOLA series blog posts. On Mardi Gras (Feb. 12) I’ll pick one and some lucky cuss will get a free 8.5″ by 11″ print.
We love New Orleans — we lived there for three months in 2011, and we’re headed back in April. I’m doing daily blog posts sharing my New Orleans-themed art, celebrating what some are calling Super Gras: the Super Bowl was Sunday, in the middle of carnival season leading up to Mardi Gras Feb. 12.

Love all your work. I want to go to NOLA so bad. And your work just makes me want to buy a ticket NOW.
Excellent.
Cheers
Pat
By all means, Pat: buy the ticket, take the ride! It might change your life. Changed mine.
Thanks for your kind words, too!
