Hank’s Saloon, the beloved, beat-up, stalwart dive bar at the corner of Atlantic and Third in Brooklyn is, sadly, closing at the end of this year. Another bummer for this rapidly-changing borough.
A longtime regular commissioned me to draw it in ink earlier this year, and now I’ve made 16 by 20-inch prints of that drawing, on heavy cotton art paper, signed, with a dab of spicy color to liven things up. They’re perfect for a standard-sized frame, the 12 by 16-inch image surrounded by a two-inch border, making it look reeeeal purty-like. They’re available in my store for $150. They ship free in the US, and if you want, I’ll hand-deliver your print to Hank’s Saloon itself, where we’ll toast the joint as we cry in our drinks.
And that, my friends, is life. Enjoy it while you can.
