Does it get any better than that first slice of your favorite pizza? You know… the one that’s as hot as the surface of the sun, with the cheese playfully hanging on to the rest of the mother pie, stretching about three feet up as you lift, lift, lift the first piece?

I’m not sure where this pizza came from, but it’s DEFINITELY not Chicago, where Pizzeria Uno is my favorite. In New York it’s Lombardi’s (with Totonno’s a close second) and in Michigan it’s Fricano’s of Grand Haven. West of Chicago isn’t worth talking about. It’s just sad, the pizza out in California, for instance. What’s your favorite pizza place of all time?

I’m doing a painting each day this month. 30 paintings in 30 days. Being November, the Month of the Feast, the theme is Things We Love to Eat and Drink.
